Chara's is a full-service Catering company and restaurant where all food is made to order and made with lots of love. We specialize in 'Soul Food' but are known for so much more, from homemade desserts and sauces to our daily fresh seafood. Our daily specials and signature dishes like Jumbo Shrimp and Grits, Buttermilk Fried Chicken and Baked Signature Macaroni and Cheese never disappoint. We cater all events from Graduation, Bar-B-Ques to Weddings year round and take pleasure in creating custom menus. There is no event too big or small. We hope to serve you soon!

Established in 2008.
Chara's began in 2008 when 2 sisters chose to honor their late mother Cheryl B. Grigg by opening a restaurant based on her recipes. The first location was in Coram, NY and has since moved to Bellport, NY. The menu has grown but the basic principles and love of "Chara" has never been lost. As the business grew so did the services. With catering, meal prep, private chef services and cooking lessons presently available Chara's is truly pressing towards leaving a culinary mark in the industry.
Co-Owner and Chef Cheryl has been cooking for over 10 years and continues to leave all she serves with a smile on their face. Chef Cheryl has been of service to the likes of Senator Monica Martinez, Suffolk County Executives, HealthFirst, the Town of Brookhaven, and worked with Celebrity Chef Marc Bynum. She has expanded from comfort food into her own style of cooking deemed "Healthy Soul", where you can enjoy her cuisine without guilt.
